About this project
This project delivered an immersive visionOS experience for Balenciaga, one of the world's most prestigious luxury fashion houses. The quality bar was exceptionally high: every interaction, every transition, and every frame had to meet luxury-level standards.
The core technical challenges centered around immersive video playback under real-world conditions. We tackled buffering strategies, stall recovery, network variance handling, and GPU/memory hygiene to ensure smooth playback regardless of network conditions.
Our approach included mesh simplification for optimal rendering, custom AVPlayer buffering strategies, aggressive preloading and caching, intelligent network detection, and comprehensive monitoring. The result was a polished experience that met the exacting standards of a luxury brand.
